Hi all,

Why can't I double click on downloaded .xpi files and get Firefox to install them?

Any thoughts.

Very annoying!

Cheers,

Paul.

got a link to where you trying to download from?
My understanding is that probedb isn't trying to install from a site but instead from the .xpi saved to disk? The way around this is to open up Firefox and the extension manager (Tools>Extensions) and then drag and drop the .xpi file into the extension manager from the folder on disk. :) Not sure why you would want to do this though, extensions are generally very small.

Hope this helps, null :)
