Firefox favourites not restoring

I have reinstalled Windows 8.1 and created a firefox account for my wife to save her favs, history and passwords etc....

When creating the account it asked me what I wanted to sync, I selected everything.

I've re-installed FF v29 and signed into the said account, but the favourites are not showing.

How to I restore these and the passwords?

Did you format the ssd/hdd, If not there should a windows.old folder,

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles. Should be all the data

Can you see the bookmarks when you press the bookmarks icon and press "Show all bookmarks"? Made sure the bookmarks toolbar is enabled?

EDIT: Wait... did you create the Firefox account after reinstalling Windows?

Yeah... if you created the account AFTER reinstalling then the only way of getting them back is if you have the Windows.old folder.
