I've been using FF since day one and never had a single issue really, so I have no idea aside from uninstalling FF to handle the following issue...

A colleague at work has a Win7 laptop, nothing special. On it I have installed FF and Chrome as the browsers to use due to adblocking. He primarily uses FF.

Upon accessing YT videos, the playback area is black. No error messages are displayed either. I have reinstalled Flash to no affect. IEx works just fine for flash videos. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

I could search for it online, but given that flash is a buggy pos I just know I will get a billion results back at me.

Cheers folks.

Edit: Just noticed the very similar thread below. Going to try disabling protected mode.
