Everybody I have spoken to is experiencing these; it seems like a combination of something Firefox has added in the last update and the latest Flash.

The browser just randomly either; freezes and becomes non-interactive for a 3-5 seconds or minimises and maximises itself.

Now Firefox is by far my favourite browser, I never liked the look or feel of Chrome and it seems to plain not work properly on a great deal of sites I visit, IE is guaranteed to ruin my day, Opera is just meh. I've been happy to feed Firefox all the memory it wanted because it just worked. But now this is just annoying the hell out of me.

Anyone else experiencing these lock ups lately?

FF dies every single day for me. It drives me round the bend. GC works but it has crap bookmarking. This is what stops me using it. It also wants too much Google account integration all the time. IE is my fallback. FF are supposed to be on the ball. Well I think the ball has a puncture.

Yeah they must have fixed something recently in flash 11.5 or 16.0.2 because the issue has stopped for me. Only on youtube as well never other flash based video sites.

Are you sure you have the latest version of Flash? 11.5 has only been out a few days I think. I had this problem with one of the more recent Flash updates, but 11.5 seems to have fixed it.
