firefox help please

I have noticed recently that if I have been browsing in firefox for a while ...say on youtube watching a load of clips when I have finished and run ccleaner it can delete 300m/b or so

is that normal thay firefox builds up all this memory usage ?

CCleaner is cleaning out temp files from internet usage. 300MB is nothing really, at one point I had about 5GB to remove.
