My Firefox homepage is just the google search engine page. For some reason it changed to the Czechoslovakian version of google and my search toolbar has changed to the Czechoslovakian version.

Why has it done this?

in firefox, click help, about

mine says this at the bottom

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4

not snap, you're is the US version :)

try installing firefox from getfirefox.com should give you a link to the GB one

go to google.co.uk and set the language options also..

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> Choose button at the bottom. What locales are in the box that opens?

Tried that. Still the same. Google in the top right corner of firefox is Czechoslovakian version.

They are:

English/United Kingdom [en-gb]
English [en]

with 'English/United Kingdom [en-gb]' being the one selected.

I'm stumped.

Is it alright if you just go to google.co.uk?
Try downloading and reinstalling (no need to uninstall) Firefox from this link.

Hi, yes its ok if I go to google.co.uk. but the top right search bar is Checkoslovakian.

I've tried reinstalling firefox from that link but its still the same. I'm thinking maybe a new install after a firefox backup.

What does the help -> about text say now?

This is the search plugin (for everywhere AFAIK). If you copy it to the searchplugins folder under wherever you've installed firefox, it should work - provided the locale is en-GB.

Your profile (by default %APPDATA%/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/[random text].[profile name]) also has a searchplugins folder, which shouldn't have a google entry in there.
