Howdy all,

Firefox already supports HTML 5... including the nice <video> tag that has been introduced...

However, Firefox doesn't support all movie/audio extensions and apparently, this is the reason why us awesome Firefox users can't play with the new HTML 5 videos on Youtube!!

Is there any news about when we will get support for this neat little feature?

Thanks,

Marky

When it's done!

HTML5 on Vimeo and Youtube is still early days, they don't support captions or annotations yet either and Firefox loves the Ogg Theora codec but these sites will get round to it, not soon but in the near future.

As i understand it there is a sizable licencing cost associated with supporting h.264

Ogg Theora is an open solution so I really hope this gets used over h.264 going forward.
