I have been trying to play a video tonight on my laptop and I have noticed that whenever I try and play a video using the DivX web player in both Firefox & IE, they both stop responding when the video begins to buffer. From what I can see, there isn't anything running in the background which is using up all the RAM & CPU usage to make it crash but it's just as soon as the video attempts to buffer, it will just completely stop responding. Strangely though, the web player was working fine when viewing another video earlier on today.
I have just done a spyware scan just incase and the scan detected nothing. I can still view videos on YouTube & Windows Media Player without a problem so I think this maybe solely down to DivX itself. Has anybody else been having the same problems? I have tried looking on Google and nothing has turned up but on the DivX forums & according to the reviews on the latest DivX on download.com, it is mean't to be absolutely terrible so it doesn't suprise me.
