I have had this issue for years, never could figure it out... It sometimes comes and goes, sometimes I just have to uninstall firefox with settings and reload it totally fresh... has been there regardless of firefox version even latest.

Issue is this:

Tried adjusting fonts/size of text/rez of screen/disabling extended desktop...
baffling.

I can open up opera or ie and its displayed fine, issue is firefox is my fav and it only effects certain websites, other websites display 100% fine.

Anyone have any idea what fault or fix there is ?

just refreshed 15x and no joy......

had this issue for about many years but as I have said its a weird one... only work arounds seem to be using a different browser like opera or reloading firefox from scratch, and making sure I remove all the previous settings.

But even then sometimes a day or 2 afterwards it can occur again...

really baffling issue, just thought firefox would have fixed it but I guess after using firefox for 5+ years and seeing it on each version it might be something wrong me end.

I tried uninstalling all addons/extentions also but no joy

interesting u get the issue in chrome also....

it cant be hardware related issue since if I launch opera ocuk is displayed 100% correct just not firefox.

I have no AV/protection of any sort so its not any protection/blocking type issue from what I can see.

after 5 years of seeing this issue I had enough and thought let me post and ask help I surrender lol

Tried doing some testing, restarting firefox in safe mode, tried disabling addons, toolbars and then doing the firefox reset, deleting bookmarks.... still no joy

So uninstalled the entire thing and reloaded from scratch back to square one least can surf properly again.... although its a chore at most it fixes the issue quickly.

I too considered it could be the internet failing but running opera and it worked fine... so that discounts the internet is failing hard...

did not try that but ill try next time whats control and F5 do anyhow ?

It (or possibly [Shift]+[F5]) should reload the page from scratch; refreshing otherwise loads a significant portion of the page from the local cache.

As j6m said above it forces the browser to ignore the cache and do a full refresh.

A normal refresh won't work if your internet has corrupted a .css file, it's just pulling the same broken file from your HDD.
Ctrl+F5 re-downloads everything from the internet.

Could also try changing DNS servers? I only have this problem when my internet is unstable, but changing to Google DNS servers seemed to have helped a bit.

thx guys got the issue again just today where hotmail just was not doing anything even when deleting or clicking on an email, hit control + F5 and it forced a full on refresh and it fixed it.

Can just hit this command in future and safe hassle of reinstalling and downloading! thx again

Had this myself turned out to be a fault on the bt exchange, report a fault saying your connection is intermittent and slow, that way you tick the boxes to get them to run a full diagnostic.

It may be a white lie but saying you have slow connection also is the only way to get them to run the tests you need in the helpdesk flowchart wrold we live in today.

ok well I added google DNS servers to my router and within a month and bit of using it today had the same issue, it can be resolved with control + F5 but to do it on so many websites repeatable is a chore !

So control + F5 is a temp fix at best, other DNS servers like openDNS and googledns does not solve the issue, some guys on the o2 forums suggested its o2s fault for this weird display of websites sometimes, claiming its o2s DNS causing the issue or an issue on there end.

yes I think this is the issue its on there site, since ive had this problem for a few years and on 3-4 different desktops/2+ different routers it must be:)

id get them to fix it but am considering virgin bb or skys infinity service soon anyhow but thx for the suggestions and ideas, a little white lie never hurts if it gets u the goodies ;)
