Especially for those of you who are using netbooks with limited resolution.

Mozilla's Firefox-like mobile browser, Fennec, has reached its first beta release, with TraceMonkey-backed JavaScript, better support for add-ons, "gestures" and no-button browsing, and a few other neat developments.

The full release notes show what's new in Beta 1, but most people will want to know how to get it on their phones. And the answer is, still, not quite yet—this release is only officially supported on Nokia N810 tablets, or in a kind of emulator for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Most of the changes between the alpha releases and this beta are faster, faster, and faster—panning, zooming, start-up, and other performance tweaks. Check out a video walkthrough of the Beta1's new features:

Looking good - the video showed it off quite well.
To be honest, I didn't even know Mozilla was doing something like this - so behind the times I am!!

Tried running the Alpha on Windows Mobile and I think I can safely say I'll be stiking to Opera Mobile - the thing eat so much memory (still a previous resource on a phone) and was slow as hell.

yeah, nor did I tell I saw it on Lifehacker (a good daily read :D)
I've been testing it on my Mac and it works really well, takes a bit of getting used to, though.
