Firefox + mouse compatability

I have a Logi' MX1000 mouse and i have been using IE and the buttons on the left handed side of the mouse which enable yo to move forward and back between pages/windows works fine.

I have just installed firefox and this feature does not seem to work, is there a reason or a fix?
