Firefox No linked images!!!

Im having major issues with Firefox not showing linked images, but strangely enough its only on certain websites.

Here things seem to be fine, but most other websites are not showing link images at all.

I have everything ticked in the appropriate boxes in the Options menu. Everything seems to be fine, I just dont understand this one. There are lots of people on the net that have had a similar issue and are either putting it down to there Router or Adblock.

My Router is pretty new and I haven't installed Adblock. I have the just installed the latest Firefox.

I was looking at the VW site, looking at Used cars, everything was fine then suddenly I was no longer able to view the pics of the cars.. ever since then there has been a problem.

Just cannot fathom this one out...

Anyone had a similar problem?

I don't seem to have the problem with IE... what a shame I have to leave my much loved Firefox for IE. Nevermind, a fix my become available soon!!!

Have you cleared the cache and tried starting it in safe mode with defaults?

On here my Firefox doesn't show the reply or quote buttons etc but sigs and linked images are fine. Weird.

ok not one to be beaten and for the sake of not having to use IE I pursued it a little more.

I went to

View>Charachter Encoding and changed from Unicode to Western.

I thought default was Western and have no idea how it was altered.

That done the trick!! Thank god!!!
