If i donwload a file from a website - for some reason Firefox sites there for ages untill it lets me click Save.

It will let me click cancel but not save as for atleast 1 min - then the Save button becomes ungreyed and it lets me click it.

Its always done it with me and it does my head in - if i load the site into IE7 i can download the file as soon as it gets a connection.

But with Firefox - nooooooo i have to wait until it decides to let me click save as.

Has anyone else had these problems - ive used FF for years, but only recently had the save probelm (even on new installs so i know its not something ive changed).

I like FF as im used to it now, but can find out what is wausing this save problem.

Unless you don't have Fx focused, it should change colour within 5 seconds - trying a download in 2.0.0.5 just now, it changed in less than a second.

Even when it is greyed out i cant click the save button untill firefox lets me.

When it does let me click it - depending on the file size - it shows up as downloded and saved or x% through the download.

It is annoying and i dont know what it does it - i have the latest FF version 2.0.0.6 which it auto updated to yeserday but i sell get the same save problem.

Yet Internet Explorer 7 allows me to click save straight away.
