I know FF has the crash restore option which is pretty cool, is there any way to kind of force crash restore? As in close FF and then reopen it later with all the tabs as I left them? Would save opening them all back up or searching for them all again!

cheers ^o^

You can force crash restore by shutting the PC down without closing firefox manually... does it every time for me and i'm going to get rid of the feature, bugs the hell out of me. :)

By the way you do know you can set up all your tabs as you want them then set them as your home page and it'll load them every time you start firefox? :)

that'd be a resounding no from me! But it's the kind of thing I meant to find out when I first used FF 3 years ago, but then stopped thinking about upon leaving the country/my computer/my pc-holic lifestyle!

Have you figured out how to get rid of it? Annoys me too :p.

Also, I don't suppose its possible to change the way the "close tab" button works on Firefox 2? I liked being able to keep clicking the close tab button to the right of the tabs in 1.5, but now have to go to each individual tab and close it. Very annoying

Thanks.

RedX Control for FireFox 2 should do the trick :)

For the OP, try this:

put about:config into the address bar,
type "browser.startup.page" without the quotes
right-click the entry and change its value to 3

(1 is the default that opens the browser to the homepage only; 3 is the setting that tells Firefox to always restore the previous session)

:)
