I've always thought Firefox discussion was is the wrong forum because it is actually open source. It should be in the open source forum but most people wouldn't see it there.

Exactly. FF is the default browser on most Linux distros and the BSDs; and in fact I'm running FF on half a dozen machines here and none of them are Windows - but I still need to visit the Windows subforum to discuss it.
