As hinted above I have Firefox 2.0.0.1 and Real Alternative installed. Whenever I go on the BBC News site and load a video clip, the media window loads before Firefox crashes and displays the usual assortion of menus informing me of this. Now the weird thing is that last Thursday I reinstalled Windows and this crashing is only happening now. It all worked fine before hand.
Any ideas what is going wrong here? I just install Real Alternative with its default options.
//Edit// Audio clips in FF don't crash the browser but nothing loads up. Trying IE7 instead, again the clips don't crash the browser but they don't load up either so I'm assuming this isolates the Real Alternative install and its codecs as the guilty culprits?
//Edit2// I've just deleted the folder and the BBC News site media selection cookie and reinstalled Real Alternative and set the cookie again and it works. However the major test will be if it works in the morning on a fresh boot-up.
