Firefox resetting its self?

Hi people,
For some reason when I close firefox and open it again it resents the layout of the menus.

It also deletes my favorites, its only just started doing it.

Also the google bar doesnt work

any ideas?

Come on surly someone on here has had this. What can I do? I have tried reinstalling Firefox and that didnt work

Left it a long while before deciding no one knew, but anyway...

Tools, Options, Privacy, Clear Private Data Settings (at the bottom of the box). Second last check box will make firefox dump your favourites, history et al when you close it.

Ive done it, and its still now working

I have sorted it. I had to open in safe mode, then select to change all settings to factory settings and deleted all files.

Then set it all up how I like it again
