Ok I've only very recently been converted to Firefox from the IE camp, there's a lot I like and there's somethings I don't like...

Mainly I hate the scroll speed in Firefox and I cannot find for the life of me any option to change it. I feel like I'm wearing my mouse-wheel out! Another thing is in IE you can middle click and then move the mouse up and down to scroll and boy do I miss that.

So have I missed something, do I need a newer release or a plug-in to get better scrolling?

Please help!

Go to Tools/Options/Advanced->General Tab and tick use smooth scrolling and autoscrolling. If the scrolling isn't smooth enough for you, then grab the Smoothwheel extension.

I do that all the time using Firefox... I've never had to turn it on or anything - it's always just been there from what I can remember.

Ah lovely, autoscrolling (stupid name). :D

Still not enough scroll on the wheel though, but thanks.

EDIT: Got the smoothwheel extension, much better now. ^^

The scrolling speed for me is changed within my mouse settings. I have a Logitech mouse, so I use SetPoint, and it allows me to select how many lines each scroll of the wheel moves because 1, 3 or 6 lines, or the whole page.
