Firefox, Skype, MSn and IE7 (non 64) all cant connect to the internet.

I have no idea how this has happened but all the apps above will not allow a connection to the internet, and all crash when I try to close them. The only was to use the internet is using IE7 64. Has anyone ever heard of this situation? I am running Vista home premium 64, with SP1 (no these issues didnt start after installation of SP1) - I have removed any apps that were installed within the past month (even though this issue started a week ago).

Anyone shed any light?

PS (firewall is disabled, NOD32 disabled, windows defender too.

try disabling IMON in nod32 (the internet monitor)

or uninstalling nod32, there were/(maybe are) some issues with 64bit vista

remove it and see if it works, then download the newest version and try that..
