FireFox slow to load up ??

hi all, can you help me solve a friends problem...

his firefox takes 10 to 15 seconds to load up, ive uninstalled and reinstalled it for him and it was the same, then yesterday for a period it was comming up instantly as it should, and now its back to taking 15 seconds, sometimes more.

its all abit weird, its not a major problem but it is highly annoying.

his system:
opteron 170, 2 gig DDR CAS2.5 3,3,6 2T sata2 Seagate drive, FF 2.0.0.1

Backup any bookmarks and things you wish to keep first, then delete the contents of C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

It's usually caused by too much in the history/cache etc.

Tools > Options > Privacy > [Clear Now]

Make sure you dont have cookies selected in the privacy settings.
