firefox tab focus question.. (new tabs no longer give focus to address bar..)

before, when i'd press ctrl + t, it'd make a new tab and i could start typing the address straight away without needing to press F6

now i have to double tap f6 to give it focus, can't remember for the life of me if i have an extention to do it before...

i use tabbrowser preferences, can't see anything in there..

I can't check as I uninstalled Firefox in the preference to Opera today but I know there was an option along the lines of "Automatically select new created tabs". I used tabmix plus.

You shouldn't need an extension to do it.

I've found it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't (but mostly, it works). It was broken in an early Bon Echo build, but that's all.

using plain old 1.5.0.6, reinstall might fix it

how do you get to that config page in ff again./

New profile and safe mode should be your first port of call before too much messing about.

about:config is what you're looking for.

created a new windows user account, worked fine, then i did extentions update

that broke it

took a guess that IETab was the culprit, uninstalled ietab, now its working fine again
