Hi so is it normal for Firefox and YouTube to use 100% CPU when viewing 4k/60 video's?

I have a 5600x so I'm a bit confused.

What settings can be used to bring this usage down?

Thank you

As above, it will also depend on the GPU you're using. If the GPU does not have a VP9 decoder then Firefox and any other browser will dump the workload on the CPU instead.

Interesting thread. I am not seeing high CPU usage but high GPU usage especially on the here: https://www.skysports.com/football

Primarily on my 3570k and GT 710 pc.

This right here causes me high GPU usage.

Its the dynamic banners on the side of the webpage.

I fired up Edge and even the snow flakes in the banner are faster!

Sorry forgot to reply!

I have fixed it. I downloaded enhanced-h264ify

And tried different combo's of codecs until it worked for my setup!

Cheers guys
