Firefox Woes

Hi all,

Before I start, I have run AdAware, Avast, etc with no avail.

Unfortunately, my firefox, when I click on say certain links on google, it doesnt take me to the page i clicked on, but rather redirects me to somewhere else.

Also, every so often, firefox decides to open up a new tab, and goes to a random webpage.

For example

eurotar.com
readinged.com
http://occupationaloutlookhandbook.com/search.php

etc, etc

I dont see anything funny running in my taskmanager, I've had a look at startup programs in msconfig, and nor do I see any dodgy looking plugins in firefox.

Is this a coincidence that this has started not long after myself removing the stumbleupon addin for FF?

Has anyone else seen this before, or know of some method of how to locate what is causing this?

I dont consider myself illiterate in the means of IT etc, but short of running through regedit for any dodgy entries, im currently stumpted.

Assuming this doesn't happen with IE, have you tried reinstalling?

I know you've already scanned etc but have you tried a scan with Malware bytes anti-malware?

Try in Windows safe mode.

I suggest you edit your first post and break that URL just in cast there's any malicious infection on the other end (plus you should try a scan with malwarebytes).
