I have ubuntu on my laptop.
I did the auto update thing and now i cant open firefox. I click on the icon and it appears in the taskbar for a couple of seconds then goes. The window does not open.

I have tried re-installing it through package manager but that hasnt helped.

Is there a way i can restore my computer back to what it was before? (like system restore on windows)

try restarting laptop

if that doesnt work just unintall it and use another broswer to download/install it again. no need to do a system restore just becuase firefox isnt working.

Open up a terminal window and type 'firefox' hit enter and post the output in here.

It's probably a missing library.

You could also try removing (+backing up) the profile directory in ~/.mozilla/firefox

Open up a terminal window and type 'firefox' hit enter and post the output in here.
I did this and put the output in google.
It was caused by an update to one of my add-ons, just need to figure out which one now :)

Thanks for your help guys.
