Firefox wont remember toolbar layout

Firefox completely fritzed on me last night. Turned on the comp, opened firefox, and it acted like it had just been installed. Bookmarks missing and toolbar layout reverted to the default. My history, passwords and extensions were all intact though.

Long story short: salvaged my bookmarks, every thing's working - but every time I launch firefox, the toolbar layout defaults to the normal one. Very annoying - anyone have any advice?

You wouldn't happen to have acrobat professional installed would you?

I had this problem with settings in firefox and all off office because the acrobat toolbar was messing things up.

Nope. I don't. I think it must have something to do with the 'profiles' that firefox keeps for the user. That's what clearly went awry to cause me to lose the bookmarks etc in the first place. Now I think it's not quite fixed - tried uninstall and re-install. no joy. :mad:

When you uninstalled it did you remove the install folder and your profile folder?
