I'm the only user of this pc so I have firefox save all my passwords and auto log me in, but since the other day everytime i go to a website the password is saved but i have to start typing the first couple of letters of the username for it to suggest my saved info. why am I not being logged in all the time, the pc is on 24/7

Dont know if its a recent update on Firefox that has stopped passwords being shown automatically...

some of them are already shown, but im still having to click login

What sites for example? forums should be fine, but sites like Ebay etc wont auto login, it'll remember your stuff but you wont actually be logged in.

yeah ebay has always done that, but this forum for a start, i open window, click bookmark and im in, now i have to actually login

Might have some dodgy cookies that need clearing.

Also, some websites need you to tick a "keep me signed in" or "remember me" tickbox for the login cookies to last longer.

Tools -> Options -> Privacy, Always clear my private data... is unchecked?

Try safe mode or failing that a new profile. Don't import too much (ideally, anything) and see if it gets any better.

If it's Firefox 3 you're using, deleting cookies.sqlite from your profile might fix it. If it isn't, upgrade already.

i found a backup program and reinstalled firefox, think it's sorted it now, thanks for the help tho guys
