My Firefox keeps crashing.

anyone know how i can find out why?

Try (Firefox's) safe mode. If that fixes it, it's probably one of your addons, plugins etc.

about:crashes should give a link to the crash report too, which gives some useful information.

yeah was gonna say that, try disabling all addons and see if that works, if you try enableing them one at a time to figure out what one is causing the crashes

a lot of programs have been crashing, so i removed a newish stick of ram, and all is good for now.

looks like overclockers will be getting the ram back
