Pro’s and con’s to both I’m afraid…
Firefox offers, apparently I can’t prove this, better security and faster web browsing but it takes longer to load and takes up more system memory.
IE is part of the O/S, as it uses part of the Windows Explorer that loads when the O/S boots up. Therefore IE will load quicker, and use less memory then Firefiox, and Firefox cannot be used with Windows Update. Or at least its never worked for me, regardless of how many addons I’ve applied to try and make this work…
Firefox is however just as good as any IE version, and it certainly holds its own against MS and I use it pretty much as my primary web browser…
The additional load times and memory usage isn’t really that much of an issue with most PC’s these days…..
Install it, and give it a try…. It’s a free download, is really easy to install and see for yourself if its right for you…. Web browsers are subject to user experience… Some prefer Firefox, some prefer IE.
