firefox3 update stopped tab mix plus working :(

when i updated to ff3 from ff2 tab mix plus wouldn't work some reason but someone here posted a link to a version that did work for ff3, but i have just updated this version of ff3 to what i think was 3.01 and now tab mix plus no longer works.

anyone got a fix for this?

You can download the new dev build here.

If you don't fancy that then you can edit the existing extension to work with ff:

- go into your ff profile
- find the extension directory
- edit install.rdf file
- change maxVersion from 3.0 to something higher e.g. 4.0
- restart ff

Nightly Tester Tools/Mr Tech's Local Install, or just setting extensions.checkCompatibility is more effective. Using a version that's actually, gasp, compatible might be an idea too.

Setting maxVersion to 4.0 is just asking for trouble...

The version is compatible - the instructions are from the developers forum - he just hasn't released a later version with the change in yet.

So it's the dev suggesting setting it to 4.0? That's, er, stupid :rolleyes:

Though probably on a par with not setting MaxVersion to 3.0.* like Mozilla were telling extension devs to use long before release (and they did the same with 2.0.0.*, so it's not like this is some new thing)...

I'm just happy I could get it working but I agree with what you're saying. :cool:
