Fireman Sams been Fired!!

I appreciate this thread is a little old now, but surely the answer to the problem was to introduce a female character rather than axe Sam? I mean the TV show actually has a female firefighter so they could have just used her!?

Using a man and a woman? This is disgraceful. What about non-binary people?

What's the harm of having both a male and female character? I'm not saying to axe Sam, just bring in Penny the female character from the show.

Why bother. What's wrong with just leaving it as Sam? Why go through extra effort for seemingly no benefit?

Its the perfect job for women what with all the practice they get with hoses and helmets. :D

When you are trapped in a house and cannot open the door or are burried beneath a load of rubble you cannot shift. Who would you rather be saved by a man or a woman. Look back to Grenfell. Men and Women are better at different things. Physical strength and stamina which are important parts are much higher in males even fat overweight ones. Just simple biology.

Women can be firemen, but there are certain physical tests and I guess most don't make the cut. Similar to the special forces.

How many women can run, in full kit, with a fully grown man over their shoulder for instance? Most guys can't without a lot of gym time.
