Hi Folks,
My brother is moving into his uni house soon with 6 others and they will be getting broadband when they get there. I read on here a while ago about installing linux onto a computer and using it to split the connection equally between each of the computers. I have searched for the thread but cant find it so can some please let me know what software and hardware would be required to do this?
I have an old comp to use that can have the linux installed onto it, the broadband will be coming in through a modem so I was thinking the set up would be as follows
>wall socket>modem>linux box> PCs
Also, would it be possible for the connection to be split over the network using just one wireless network card in the splitter?
Thanks for any help
Matt
