Firewall Issue!

Hey guys,

I have been having issues with Comodo Firewall, apparently its the no.1 free firewall to use but to be honest I'm not impressed with it. I found out that Comodo Firewall have crashed people's computers when attempting to go fullscreen on games and applications. Weirdly, these problems also occured to me. These problems however stop when I enable game mode.

Nevertheless, I find this pathetic, having to do this every time I need to go Fullscreen because no doubt there will be days that you will forget and having to force shutdown the computer can eventually corrupt the HDD.

To get to the point, I'm thinking to use standard windows firewall as I've never had issues with it before. Unless anyone can lead me to another free firewall. I use Avast antivirus, superantispyware and malwarebytes as well as microsoft essentials.

The last time I used a 3rd party software firewall was ZoneAlarm like 10 years ago! Windows firewall will be fine and even then most computers today are behind routers these days.

Use Windows Firewall.

Have a look at http://www.sphinx-soft.com/Vista/ & http://www.binisoft.org/wfc.php if you want more control.

windows firewall and your routers hardware firewall will do the job

you can set it to be in game mode permanently

Thanks guys. I never had problems with windows firewall, the only time I got a virus was because I did a stupid thing by pressing "next" to fast when installing software and you all know what happened next...

I might just do that Adolf, cheers. Suppose it won't do no harm.

don't know if it causes a lack of protection, haven't got the hax yet so i assume not.
