I've asked this a couple of times in other threads, but never really had a response.... What firewall would people recommend for Vista x64?

Is Vista's own FW good enough to go it alone, or would you use another? Would you use em both?? :D

I'm gonna sound really stupid now (again!).... I've no idea if my Router has a built in firewall!?!?! How would i check that?

I'm planning on getting NOD32 this week, so i'll see how i get on..

Cheers

NOD32 is good. And what router? Let us know and I'll look it up for you. :)

I doubt it has one, it's from my isp (read 'cheap') lol! It's an Actiontec DSL Gateway.

As you can probably tell, i know absolutely nothing about Routers... :o

I myself have migrated a 6-7 device home lan from Windows firewall to just the router firewall and have had absolutely zero issues with either in the ~7 years it's been running.

That's good to know. I think the Internet is making us all a tad paranoid to be honest. :D

Thanks guy's. ;)

Ah! Yes it is in there, just doesn't mention firewall... Just says NAT.

Thanks again for all the help. ;)
