Firewire 800 - could do with some advice

I have a belkin firewire 800 card and on a previous install of xp pro i seemed to get about twice the transfer speed i get now.

does windows sp2 (fully updated) include the correct drivers, or is it like gfx cards and mobos where you have to get them off the manufacturers website. i sincerely hope not cos there is nothing of use on belkins site that i can find and the drivers that came on the cd seem to be for windows 98 and me.

could somebody clue me up here.

should be native in xp - firewire is old news

FW 800 drivers for 98? Well I never!

What model card is it? Perhaps we masses can find a driver for it where you have not.

i think one of these numbers above is the ocuk reference number, but i've posted them both anyway.
