I am after a firewire card that has an internal connector so i can use the front access port on the chassis... But i can only find them with a normal firewire connector on the inside (Like the OCUK cheepo one). What on earth is this good for? Silly really! I just need one with internal header to connect the front access plug to.

Any ideas?

Also after the same thing, my mobo doesn't have firewire. Being able to connect to the plugs at the front of a case is a nice bonus.

You can get them at competitiors

They range from £15-£30

Just have a google for 'firewire card internal port'

Belkin do one @ £30 which i have (blue board) at the moment and works really well

I believe this is another solution around the problem...

Get a Firewire PCI card with a standard internal firewire port.. such as the one OcUK does...

And get this cable to cover the front panel 10 way female to a standard firewire The cable is "10 way IDC male to 6 pin male" for about £10 (inc delivery)

Probably works out about £20 altogether.... the cable is overpriced.
