Hi,

Since I've upgraded to Vista 64 my firewire card (Adaptec FireConnect 4300) no longer works. Looking at the Adaptec website it looks like Vista in not supported.

Simple question then, what card do people recommend that will offer me 2/3 firewire ports that is compatible with Vista. it'll be plugged into an Abit IP35-E?

Is the Adaptec card using an Adaptec chip or is it from some other manufacturer? You might be able to get a driver from the chip manufacturer instead. If you can run a Live Linux boot CD on it and run 'lspci' it may give you more information on the chip on the card, if it's not already obvious from looking at the labels.

Only Firewire card I've ever bought was a Belkin, but I've not used Vista so don't know if they support it.
