Hey guys

So i need a firewire card for my asus rampage for an audio interface i need to use.

I assumed any old card would fit so ordered the cheapest option, i tried to fit it just now and theres no way it could fit in any slot!

Im going to return it but I wanted to find out what signifies the compatibility? is it PCI 3.0*or x16? so I dont order the wrong one again.

The only other thing is I have to have a Texas Instruments (TI) chipset on it as well!

You need a PCi-E card as the motherboard only has PCI-E slots.

Something like these.

I've no idea about the chipset and they're only FireWire 400.

Edit:

The 2 port is JMicron - JMB381

The 4 port is Renesas/NEC - D72874
