Firewire Q

i bought a firewire to connect my pc to mi lappy but now theyre both pluged in i cant figure out how to use it sorry for the nooby q but help appreciated

I've never done this myself, what are you trying to achieve? I know that firewire ports are listed in the network connections in Windows so might be worth checking there to see if you have an IP address or something like that.
Maybe try googling something like "connecting 2 computers over firewire"

Would probably be easier to do it over a network.
