Fireworks! (What else?)

Well I'm slightly ahead of the game considering it's the morning of the 5th, last night was Grey College's firework display. Here are my favourite shots from the evening, C&C very much welcomed.

Not sure what your trying to acheive in #7 with the empty black space.

3 & 5 are the best imo. I really live the perspective, as Paulus said.

im not usually a fan of firework shots because i find them quite boring, however i really like yours with the people in them, makes for a much more interesting shot.

I agree with finding firework shots with no foreground interest quite boring which is why I wanted something in the foreground, and since there were lots of people about I thought I'd try and capture the feeling of the crowd as well as the fireworks.

In #7 it just so happened that no big fireworks went off during the exposure but I liked the silhouetted heads, so gave it that crop. I've tried it with less black space at the top but I just liked it better full height.

I REALLY like number 3, really nice symmetry and the whole perspective effect! Shame a few of the others are blown out, next time try a faster shutter/smaller apature.

No. 7 would be superb for an advert or something, the space at the top makes for a great place to write or place something.
