First off, i used these settings for my OC except i decided to make my first attempt at 4.2ghz. Also there was no XMP1.3 setting for me and my RAM is rated at 1.35V.
To get a quick idea of temps and what not i ran IBT for runs.
What concerns me is that the hottest core reached 71c with a Noctua NH-D14 (albeit with the ultra low noise adapter) and 2 case intake fans and 2 case exhaust fans (top and rear).
What confuses me is the vcore. When i first can coretemp on stock settings it read the VID as something like 1.19v (which seemed low?) but during the test it was changed from between 1.37 and 1.39 when i thought VID was a constant number.
Secondly, i set the vcore in the bios at 1.30v but as you can see from the screenshots both CPU-Z and AXTU are showing a vcore of around 1.2 with occasionally dropping lower.
My questions are basically a) whats going on with my vcore and b) if it was running at only 1.2ish is a 71c temp kinda high?
Thanks
