First 4850 Review

wish he had done some benchmarks with a stock system, i hate overclocked reviews because its impossible to tell how it would compare to your system >_<

how does that perform in comparison to an 8800GT then? is it getting better results? same? worse? i cant tell :(

all i can get from that whole thread is that the theoretical shader processing power is nearly double that of an 8800GT? (google said so)

Can anyone make sense of how the results from all those benchmarks compare to other graphics cards out at the moment?

All I see is numbers with no reference point to compare with :(
 
That's the problem. Even the GTX280 vs 9800GTX they didn't even bother to use the same driver on each with the GTX280 running the new 177.26 which are reported to give big gains in certain games anyway.

You have a complete mixture of test rigs, stock and overclocked etc.

Untill the NDA are released, I doubt we will see anything which will give a fair comparison.

Throw in the fact the GTX260/280 are been released with a 177.34 driver which is meant to be even better and it gets worse.

I have loaded up 177.26 drivers on my G92 GTS and have run a few benchmarks and are now waiting for some tests where I can compare and/or somebody doing an accurate comparison.
