Hi all,

I need to apply for my first ADULT passport. I still have my passport from when I was a child but that is now obviously expired.

Does anyone know if I need to select the option to renew or apply for a new passport. The website does not seem clear, was wondering if anyone else had gone through this procedure?

Thanks,

just fill in form as required for adult, you'll have to send your old child passport so this will mean you won't require the interview for new passports.

Just thought i'd update this as I have now, finally, got it submitted.

The Post Office do a really good service called 'Check & Send' where the staff will check your application for errors and that all correct documents are with it. They will then send it off for you via special delivery.

Luckily I actually had a normal passport (i thought it was a child's,,,,as I had it as a child) which just expired. This means I don't have to attend an interview and the whole process should take just 2 weeks. Apparently it's longer for someone who has never had a passport.

Only thing that was a bit tricky is I had to find someone in an 'trusted position' to sign the forms. I don't know too many lawyers etc :)
