First attempt at shooting stars

I know it's not very good compared to many, but for my first attempt and 5 minutes editing I'm quite pleased with the detail it picked out!

Shot on a D5500 with Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art.

f2.2, ISO 1600, 10", 18mm (27mm full frame equiv)

Yeah, I realised it comes across at shooting-stars, not photographing stars, my bad!

Great first attempt but you need a subject in the foreground to make the photo appealing, otherwise its just some stars..

Thanks, yeah I know what you mean, was more of a technical test to learn how to get the correct focus, exposure, lack of star trails, etc.
