Im still having problems with my new build.

the problem is if the pc has been off for about 20 minutes or more and i turn it on, it always freezes at the windows loading screen - the blue 'knight rider' bar goes about 1/4 of the way across and bam!

I press reset and it loads properly, every time.

event viewer doesnt seem to have anything special in it.. what could it be ?

specs are

e6850 - stock speeds
2 gig ocz 800 mhz - stock, tested on other machines
asus p5k-e motherboard - no overclocking bios options set
bfg 8800 gt oc - no oc (besides the factory one) 6 pin pci-e cable is connected

psu is tagan 530w modular. at the moment the rails are set to 'split' (choose between split and combine)

i have 1 sammy dvd writer in a black sata port and 2 sata hard drives in the orange ones.

im totally bewildered ..

Enable boot logging then after it has happened and you've got it working again have a look for a file called ntbtlog.txt in %SystemRoot% - then look for the time of the fault and check what it was trying to do when it hung.
