first attempt new camera

hi all, my new d-slr arrived and i've been out playing, still got a lot to learn but here are a few from yesterday..

any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

The first one looks really weird. It's like an IR shot that's been selectively coloured.

I like the graffiti shots, although with those it's more of a documentation of the art rather than on a photography basis with those.
 
The grafitti pics are good but the cottage...looks a little too crowded for me, too much foreground and not enough of the house, the sky is pretty well blown out. sometimes (not always) you could focus onto the sky only from the position your at and take a shot then take a shot of the subject, this case being the house then merge the two in a imaging program.

What settings did you use etc ?

its a fair point, there's no real focus for attention, and the sky is positively nuked.
