I succesfully overclocked my AMD athlon II 240 from 2.8 to 3.5GHz, I used aida64 to see if it is stable and I can safley say it has been running for an hour now and it has been running succesfully.

I am very please since this was my first attempt to overclock and it went very well and I was also suprised I managed to get the perfomance up so high. I was going to buy another cpu but now I am sticking with the one I have. :D

And an overclocker is born :)

You'll no doubt look at overclocking potential in all future purchases now :p I literally cant buy a processor now with a stock cooler.

Good Stuff

now that i have overclocked it succesfully i might push it a bit further and see how it goes.

but for now i will keep it the same, but i am still happy with the result :D

the only way i will buy a new processor is if AMD bring out a new one but not the bulldozers, unless they bring a second gen out.

all i need is a new case though because the cooler i have now doesn't fit so i am now looking for a case that will fit it. :P

every chip is different so i would give it a go and try do a good 8 hours of prime in the one go that should make 100% its stable :)
emm i dont know anything off hand but i think it may be Q2-3 of next year though I may be getting confused with intel :p
