Hi all, picked up my Sigma 70-300mm APO lens today and went up to my cousins. They've recently bought two off-road buggies, so i got some pictures of them. I hope you all like them and please leave some C+C :)

1) A pic of the 'number plates' my cousin has put on, tried to get a low DOF

2) This is my youngest cousin, there was a very nice light coming through from their kitchen window so i snapped these

5) My first real attempt at panning

6) I thought that the dust trail behind this was pretty cool

7) Loved the angles of the sun on this

8) Quite a long shot of my other cousin on his buggy

Oh, and btw, i had got permission from them and their mum to post these. Also, they don't show the full quality of the images because i have really 'de-scaled' the size of them from about 4mb to 40kb.

I have the same lens, I think its good for the money. C+C... no punch to the images, try upping the contrast a little. The rest is composition really, I dont like going too far with C+C cos like you said these are you trying out a lens, not planning a shot for a while.

1 and 5 are the best. 1 for the colour and the sharpness on the plate and 5 for the panning and you can see the intensity in your cousins face. The quick snaps are as you said, quick snaps :) 7 and 8 seem a tad underexposed. As does 9. On the whole it looks like you got a good copy of that lens. It can be stupidly soft.
