Hi all

Just updated, put my system together and booted for the first time.
I have noticed that the PWM Akasa Viper fan that I fitted to the cpu cooler seems to be running at full speed (1900rpm) all the time in BIOS. This is with the BIOS temp reading around 28C.
Is this normal for the fan to be running so fast in BIOS and will it slow down to a more normal speed when I have installed Windows???

i7 930, Megahalems cooler, Rampage 3 Extreme, 6gb Corsair Dominator, GTX 285,

Have you enabled the asus cpu qfan profile in the bios, options are usually, silent, standard and turbo, once you install windows you can use the asus ai suite software to calibrate and fine tune fan speeds.

Many thanks. Sorted. It took me about 10 mins to find in the maze of BIOS settings.;)
