The question is in the last three lines but I advise you to read the first big paragraph (I know it's a noob question).

Imagine that I've just built a computer (which I haven't this is just for preparation) and I boot the computer for the first time ever and it posts correctly. After this I enter the BIOS and go into advanced bios features and make the first boot priority the dvd drive and the second priority the hard drive. Then I put in the windows disk and hit the reset button. Windows will start to install.

After windows is installed and all the hardware updates are done should I go back into the bios and change the first boot priority to the hard drive and the second to the dvd drive?

close, make the harddrive the first, but disable all the others, makes booting up a tiny bit quicker.
