Hey guys first time poster :), i have a medium spec PC atm but it's getting dated so i'm not upgrading (gf will use current pc) so i'm treating myself and getting the full package - i need everything except KB+M, but i do need a new OS :)
It's going to be my first build so tiny bit nervous i'm familiar with everything on the mobo just never setup the PSU and cabling before so looking for a user friendly case.
Would love something that will play guild wars 2 on ultra with no problems if possible with my budget and also bf3 + 2013 releases.

Preferences : User friendly but large case as airflow in my room isn't great.
More than sufficient PSU, had previous problems with lack of power.
SSD and a good HDD >>> (i'd like to fraps so something capable of doing so as smooth as possible)

Fire away :D Thankyou!

Yes monitor also mate :D Thanks, going to browse through the items now .. as for overclocking is it an option to have the cpu overclocked during purchase or would i be doing it on my end?

Yes i do xD
Only thing that is new to me would be the PSU installation as well as the PSU cabling, i'm familiar with everything on the mobo as well as HDD bays etc.

Thanks will watch part 3 tomorrow though i know how to install OS/drivers etc :D
Is there anything else you would add/upgrade to that with another £100 that would significantly improve the performance? Looking good as it is, love the monitor :D
Doing some research on the 670 though, haven't used nVidia since i had my 8800gtx's xD

Not ever done it (well I have quickly tried it)

Try it with the SSD and recording FRAPS to the HDD, if its too slow then add the other SSD and record to that?

Sounds good it's not heavily important tbh since i got my HDPVR.
About to purchase now gives me a few days to polish off my knowledge, nervously excited to be building it :D

Hey guys built it last night took my time with the cable management being the first build an all, booted up perfectly :D
OS is installed on SSD, all drivers etc installed perfectly but only having one problem? Could be something simple ive overlooked, had a long day, cannot choose my HDD as a storage device only my SSD?
The HDD is listed in the bios and in device manager, but in the intel storage program it's listed as "System disk : NO", is that bothering me?

Cheers guys took some pics to ;D

Goto control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk mangament.

You should then see the HDD as a dark Grey bar, right click and assign/format etc.

cheers stulid you're a star :)
btw the LED reccomendation is absolutely top notch, not sure if you've used this monitor but it is an absolute beast :D

Good thread, I'm looking to splash about 1.5k on a complete new build, well i already have nice monitors and a case, so just the guts really. Good list to use as a guideline, thanks!

Yeahh i used tinypic, never used it before so will upload elsewhere, they weren't the pics of the build mind, just the problem i was having xD
